Our People, Our Personality

Kim Scott, owner of The Yoga Place, has been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching yoga for 5 years. She shares her passion for yoga and the inner strength it brings with all her students, whether teaching at her studio or at local high schools, colleges and universities. Kim believes along with the many physical benefits of yoga that it is the centering of the mind that becomes the most beneficial. She enjoys teaching energetic styles of yoga with a fun attitude.

Andrew Criswell is a Registered Yoga Teacher who has been teaching for 7 years. He is a Certified Teacher of Hatha Yoga and was trained at the Temple of Kriya Yoga under Goswami Kriyananda. Andrew teaches a traditional style of yoga which emphasizes relaxation and awareness.

Amy Kruske is a Registered Nurse and a Reiki Master trained by William Rand. Reiki is administered by the laying on of hands, but more importantly by the joining of the minds, in love and acceptance. Amy believes that through a process of mutual forgiveness, the past is released and the truth remembered of who we really are - perfect oneness.

Michele Belson is a true inspiration. She is a cancer survivor and recently just beat epilepsy. For many years Michele was seeking ways to overcome her fears, insecurities and frustrations and finally found her path after stepping into a yoga class. After pursuing this path through many yoga classes and workshops Michele now invites you to join her on this journey in her healing, restorative yoga classes.

Evenlyn Simpson has studied yoga for 10 years while living and working in several locations around the globe. She has practiced on four continents and in multiple languages. Her practice has helped her bring focus and calmness through the many transitions in her life and helped her explore the joys and challenges of different countries and cultures. She has completed her Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training in 2006 at Y+ in Shanghai, China where she studied with Rachel Hull and Duncan Wong.

Jen Fahlgren combines her physical education teaching background with a life long enthusiasm for fitness. Along with a diverse range of athletic activities, she has practiced yoga in various forms, concentrating on Ashtanga yoga for the past two years.
